If a child below 18 years old has completed seven years of stay in the UK, whether legally or unlawfully and if it is not reasonable for him/her to leave the UK, then the child is entitled to apply for leave to remain in the UK. This entitlement for application is under the private life route of the Immigration rules under Para 276ADE (iv) of the Immigration Rules. The private life visa route was incorporated into the UK immigration rules as part of the Human rights Visa application routes.

Does the Child Need to be Born in the UK to Apply Under the Rules?
There is no requirement that the child should be born in the UK. A child born outside the UK but has entered the UK and completed seven years in this country before he/she reaches 18 years is eligible to apply under these rules. A child who is born in the UK is also entitled to apply for leave to remain under these rules once he/she completes 7 years stay in the country.
Do the Parents Also get a Visa Along with a Child who has Completed Seven Years in the UK?
Yes, the parents and any other siblings below the age of 18 at the time of the application are also eligible for leave to remain with a qualified child.
How Long is the Visa Granted For?
The qualified child and the family will get a 30-month visa (2 ½ years) under the private life route. The visa can be extended for a further 2 ½ years until the family completes 10 years' legal stay in the UK. Once the family completes 10 years' legal stay in the UK, they are entitled to apply for indefinite leave to remain provided they satisfy all the requirements for the rules.

You can apply for this visa under the super premium service of the UKVI, and usually, an application is approved within 24 hours unless UKVI needs any additional documentation or clarification.
