Our client entered the United Kingdom on 2006 as the spouse of a British citizen, and her leave expired in 2008. They began having problems in their marriage and she left the matrimonial home. She applied for a visa to the Home Office but her application was refused and she was asked to leave the country. Our client approached us at this stage of her case.

 

 

Our client is now living with her current British unmarried partner and they have a daughter who is a British citizen. We were able to make the UK Border Agency reconsider her case in the light of her new circumstances and the Home Office has now decided to grant her discretionary visa for 3 years.
