Asylum claim success   Our client who is gay by sexual orientation was an Ugandan national. He was once beaten up in Uganda for being a homosexual. He came to UK on a visitor visa in 2009 and has been overstaying in UK since then. He then approached us seeking assistance to claim asylum in UK.   We arranged for an asylum screening for the above client and he was interviewed by the UK Border Agency regarding his asylum claim. UK Border Agency accepted his claim that he will face persecution on return to Uganda for being a homosexual and was granted refugee status in UK.
